India’s Youngest Entrepreneur Is ‘Tyrelessly’ Battling an Environmental Crisis

17 year old Anubhav Wadhwa is the CEO of three companies. His latest project works to dispose of tyres safely. This young boy is somewhat different from other teenagers of his age. He is the founder of his company “Tyrelessly”, a company that seeks community participation to encourage people to donate their end-of-life tyres for responsible disposal. But it was not his first establishment. “In India about 100 million tyres require recycling annually. But less than 5% are recovered, with the remainder subjected to unsafe disposal. He says, through his company, vehicle owners can choose to have their vehicle’s tyres disposed off safely. The collection of tyres is taken care of through the website, and users are notified after the disposal.

Tyrelessly is for everyone-from a child with a bicycle to an adult with SUV’s or trucks and buses. Once the tyres are collected, they are sent to a recycling plant in Hisar, where they undergo pyrolysis (an extraction process which can convert tyres into usable by-products). Since its inception, his company has collected more than 1000 kg of tyres. The goal is to inspire people to make smarter choices for a more sustainable future. The aim is to recycle 10 million scrap tyres and save a million square yards of landfill space and eliminate tones of carbon dioxide that would otherwise be released by irresponsible burning of tyres.
